He has worked both in top-tier law firm and in-house roles with leading US-based multinational companies in India. As a seasoned leader, he has a proven track record in establishing and managing corporate legal functions, ensuring alignment with overall business goals while mitigating legal risks.
In his previous role as the India Legal Counsel at a leading multinational company, Gaurav spearheaded the company’s legal department in South Asia, providing visionary leadership across corporate and commercial matters including M&A transactions, and regional legal compliance in APAC region. His expertise spans contract negotiation, regulatory compliance, litigation management, contractual and legal risk identification and mitigation and ensuring legal safeguards in complex corporate environments with precision and foresight.
Earlier in his career, Gaurav worked as an associate at a top-tier law firm, where he handled high-profile legal matters such as Joint Ventures (JVs), corporate structuring, mergers and transactions and general corporate advisory work. During his tenure, he was given the opportunity to work for a year on secondment as Legal Advisor with a leading global aerospace company. In this role, he was closely involved in handling commercial and contractual matters, with a focus on advising the company on defence procurement laws, contract management, and statutory compliance.
With nearly two decades of experience spanning corporate law firms and in-house counsel roles, Gaurav brings a combination of deep legal expertise and strategic business acumen to deliver impactful solutions that drive business success.
